Video Editing for Social Media
Learn to craft engaging short-form content that actually gets watched. Our autumn 2025 program focuses on practical editing techniques for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
How This Actually Works
Real talk about the learning journey. We've structured this around what students actually need, not some idealized path that looks good on paper.
Getting Your Bearings
Most people show up thinking they'll master everything in a week. That's not how this works. You'll spend the first couple months just getting comfortable with the software and understanding what makes social media content different from traditional video editing.
Building Real Skills
This is where things get interesting. You'll work on actual projects that mirror what clients need. Not perfect, polished examples but messy footage that needs to be salvaged. Because that's what the job actually looks like most of the time.
Questions People Actually Ask
These come up in every cohort. Figured we'd answer them upfront.
Do I need expensive equipment?
Not really. A decent computer and the software is enough to start. Most students use their existing laptops. We'll let you know if yours won't cut it during the enrollment call.
What if I've never edited before?
That's fine. About half our students come in with zero experience. The first month moves slowly on purpose. If you can use a computer and follow instructions, you'll be okay.
How much time does this take weekly?
Plan for 10-12 hours minimum. Two live sessions plus practice time. Some weeks you'll need more if you're struggling with a concept. That's normal.
Can I get feedback on my work?
Yes, during group sessions and through our online platform. Instructors review submitted projects within 48 hours typically. Peer feedback happens in real-time during workshops.
What happens after the program ends?
You'll have access to course materials for a year. Alumni community stays active with monthly meetups. Some grads freelance, others join creative teams. Results vary based on what you put in.
Is there a final exam or certificate?
You'll complete a portfolio project. We provide a certificate of completion, but honestly your portfolio matters more when talking to potential clients or employers.

Both instructors have been editing video professionally for years. They've worked with brands, agencies, and content creators across Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
